Creative Solutions for the Workplace

The Changing Workplace

Traditional approaches to today's new problems no longer suffice. Shifts in the structure of the economy, in workforce demographics, in legislation, and in court decisions demand new responses to new challenges involving employment and the workplace.

The Need for Creative Solutions

Labor, management, and government have roles to play in confronting these ever-changing issues. Some initiatives can be undertaken unilaterally by the parties while others benefit from cooperative efforts. ILR faculty help employers, employees, managers, unions, professional associations, industry associations, and policy makers find and achieve, whether separately or together, original solutions to contemporary workplace problems.

What We Do

By bridging research and application, ILR faculty identify new trends in the workplace and remain cognizant to emerging ideas and issues. The faculty's analytic and applied research capabilities enable customized development of programs and services that provide the guidance, education, information, and skills clients need to adapt to ongoing change.
